Aerospace
Tim’s
background includes 25 years of experience in the
electronics field, encompassing fighter aircraft,
elevator controllers, hospital equipment, and

flight started early, when he built and flew RC
aircraft near his childhood home in Michigan.
After attending the University of Michigan, Tim began his
career stationed overseas with the Air Force, working on
F-15 fighter planes. His tour of duty later took him to
Sacramento where he worked on A-10 attack planes.
After leaving the Air
Force, Tim
continued his electrical work in the civilian sector.
Later becoming a field technician and engineer for a
Silicon Valley semi-conductor company, where he
continued to gain valuable skills in computing and
electrical engineering. At this time, Tim developed a
strong interest in applied physics, and he went back to
college to expand his education in the field of
science.
This experience, coupled with computer programming
and data acquisition skills, created a strong foundation
for the Springtail and Dragonfly platforms. Tim began
his work at Trek Aerospace in 1998, and his focus has
been advancing the company's product through technology
and product development. He is responsible for all
of the electrical systems, and manages the coding and
